I will say, this hotel is a hell of a lot easier to re-create in Minecraft compared to the red lion because the geometry is very simple and the floor plan is very easy

actually, in an older version of it, I made the discovery that I got the locations of the rooms wrong in one part and unfortunately fixing it meant almost completely redoing half the building…. But I did it anyway, because I could not stand that error being there.

Yeah seemed more comfortable not sure why probably cause bigger panel rooms bigger I mean I really enjoy tiny things but sadly for panels at cons it's different gotta have that space and accessability
It wasn't just hotel problems. It was the shape itself. The location can't really fix that. They don't have big enough rooms and the pool can't have movie at it I don't think

I saw a YouTube comment that lives in my head rent free. This FF attendee (don’t know who) fondly recounted tripping on acid in the gazebo with a friend. And it feels like RedLion was the type of hotel that would make memories like that.

I stopped in there for food before i headed home on Monday and the owner was raving about how amazing his weekend was. Went through all his food and all his back stock. Said the attendees were super polite and awesome.

There’s something about looking at old pictures from the 50’s and 60’s where the color is just slightly off compared to modern day that gives it an authentic feel. Plus a higher level of noise or artifacts. I know there was someone at furpoc literally developing film in their room.

Yeah there's many. We have already found a pizza shop that closes at 2 AM which will be great for late night munchies. Very short walk from the hotel too.

There's a group of local furs (incl. myself) who have been parking at the hotel every friday night then walking around until we find an interesting looking restaurant. Then we see how it is, and if we like it, it goes onto what will eventually be a list for the con website

I am trying to do the model of the hotel in Minecraft but one angle of the lobby I am having a REAL hard time finding photos for is the area inside the front entrance... like you're standing at the elevator bank and looking at the front door, with the hotel front desk on your left and the bar on your right.
